Agreed.  I think that feeling you express (that I share with you) about Mr Essex's seminal Christmas offering, dates us, rather precisely?

Oh I am! I’ve been an old soul since I was a child, it’s nice to have caught up with myself physically and temporally while most people of my vintage went through all the tiresome rituals of pushing the boat out before seeking out their carpet slippers. I found mine early so ‘middle  age’ felt like home from the moment I arrived :-)
