What's my name?
I never knew my name
What would I need it for?
Would be mad to call myself
And you can call me "sir"
My mother never told me
She nursed her secrets like babes
Which explains why I'm so skinny
For I was fed by the maid
My teachers never knew
Mine wasn't on their sheet
Though, nor was I in their class
I was playing hooky in the street
Twas no better at my wedding
I had to correct the priest
"No, father, she doesn't take thee."
"I do not know thee in the least!"
