Do you have a comfort item?

I have a comfort blanket which I carry round with me. Sometimes I carry it out in the open if I’m feeling more anxious than normal but most of the time it stays in my bag. Just knowing it’s there makes a huge difference for me. When I’m at home I always leave it on my bed and make sure it’s neatly folded in a certain way.

I’ve also got a comfort bear but she stays on my bed. I got her when I was six and she’s been my comfort bear ever since then really.

  • In my queen sized bed, I have 40 teddy bears and my best friend is my beloved Paddington Bear - we met on the the supermarket shelves and I paid his ransom a long time ago and we have been together ever since - he may be an English teddy bear but he’s found a loving Irish home with me - he’s so handsome and we fall asleep in each others arms, keeping each other warm and safe with our love for each other and wake up in each other’s arms and we talk to each other all the time via love and cuddles
