Is it ethical to correct those with whom you disagree?

This is something I really struggle with.  If i see something I disagree with, then I am almost compelled by my sense of ethics to try and correct it.  I see many others who take a different attitude and they are probably happier than I am. As they are not involved in constant debates.

I think ultimately this is just my personality now and I cannot change it.  I just wondered if anyone else has anything to say on this subject?

  • Most of the gen pop forget what they just said about anything within minutes.

But - If you challenge them about what they just said, they will feel attacked and threatened. That feeling they will associate with you forever after. They carry the feeling with them and remember on some limbic level.

My experience is that it's not worth it, unless there is some harm being done to another creature.

But mostly it's just people copy-pasting something they heard or read in passing.

    Let's hear it from Shakespeare:

"It is a tale/ told by an idiot/full of sound and fury/ signifying nothing"

So just let tomorrow and tomorrow creep in their petty pace and move on.

  • I never understood Shakespeare. For example, in Hamlet Shakespeare asks:

2B, or not 2B, that is the question.

Why didn't he just use an HB pencil like every one else?

    I'll get my coat...
