Stop the Press

Hope brought in a rat, she killed, this afternoon.

  • Gross, I bet she left you the feathers? I try and deter Muriel from catching birds.

  • Now, about half an hour ago, she brought in a pigeon; which she ate, in my room.

  • Yes they are like flying spiders! What a nightmare.. they seem to always aim for my face as well. Eughhh.. yes I couldn't sleep with a spider in the room either.

  • I just looked them up. Similar to our daddy long legs but not as creepy.

  • Daddy Long Legs freak me out, they're like flying spiders! Spiders really freak me out too, I've had to sleep elsewhere in the house because there's a spider in my bedroom.

  • Loads of spiders, in my home. Due to the Lough Neagh flies; here.

  • Amazing,  I don't think I'd cope well with that.  I feel invaded if a daddy long legs flys in atm. A rat would be too much.  I actually love tame rats, had many lovely ones as pets. It's the uninvited invasion I would struggle with.

  • My old Tiggy cat decided that I needed to learn to hunt, maybe because somewhere in his catty brain he wondered if the reason I don't eat meat is because I don't know how to hunt? He started bringiing me small prey items, and they started to get less dead and injured as I "got better" at catching things, until the day when I ended up running round our small hall beating a small rat to death with a slipper. After that he stopped, I think he decided I did know how to hunt, but didn't.

  • This was a big f**k-off one, too.

  • My cat brings rats and mice in and leaves them alive for me to catch Disappointed

It took me two days once to catch a rat that was in the bedroom, it was a young speedy one

  • Good, having had a rat infestation in a house I was living in, they need discouraging. Muriel caught and killed a big one the other day too.
