Making friends

Hello. My name is Andrew. I am 21 years old and I would love to make new friends. I like listening to lots of music; my favourite singer is Sabrina Carpenter, I have all her albums. Some other bands I like are Panic At The Disco, Paramore, The Zutons, As December Falls, The Sherlocks and blink-182. I'm also really into lots of TV shows such as Scorpion, The Inbetweeners, Family Guy, American Dad, Friday Night Dinner and Victorious, even though it's quite old but it makes me laugh uncontrollably. Next year, I'm seeing Coldplay (another one of my favourite bands) in concert, which I'm very excited for. Not only that, I'm even seeing Sabrina Carpenter AND Kylie Minogue too! If anyone would like to talk to me, please feel free to say hello. Bye for now.

  • I had a listen to their new album just now. The song "One More Time" sounds incredibly personal if you know the band's history, getting a thumbs up from me.

  • Shiver and Trouble are 2 lovely songs; Chris Martin is such an amazing songwriter! Goodness knows what adventures The Inbetweeners will get up to next, It'll be interesting now that they're no longer schoolboys!

  • Adam's Song and Dammit are brilliant tracks! Jim is really funny and Wilson the dog is rather cute too, though I also like hapless Martin. I've watched Father Ted in the past and it seemed quite amusing in parts.

  • I resonated with Story of a Lonely Guy (how ironic!), though my favourite songs I think are Adam's Song and Dammit. I had no idea there was another album, I'll try to find it on Spotify.

Me and my son's favourite character has to be Jim and Wilson Smile I might see if he's interested in watching Father Ted next.

  • I think Shiver - I don't think the raw emotion of the way he sings "and it's you, I see But you don't see me And it's you, I hear So loud and so clear" near the end has ever been topped. I think Trouble is my second favourite.

That's great about the next film - they'll all be adults - I think that will make it funny and fresh.

  • Hello again. I agree, Parachutes is a fantastic album! I often listen to it before bed to help me relax. My favourite track on there is either Don't Panic or Yellow. What's yours? To be honest, I like all their albums the same; X&Y is my favourite one. Moon Music, the new album, is out tomorrow. I think it'll be good. Never heard of Echo and the Bunnymen but I'll check them out soon. You're right, all Inbetweeners characters are equally funny in their own ways. If I'm not mistaken, I think they're working on a new movie, which I'm really looking forward to.

  • Hey. I'll admit I was late getting into music too, I've only been listening properly since 2016 or 2017. I downloaded blink-182's new super deluxe album ONE MORE TIME PART-2 this week, I've listened to it and it's great! I'm glad it's back to the original line-up: Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker. However, I like the California album too, despite a slight change in the line-up with the other guy, who I've no idea of his name. My favourite one is Greatest Hits, as I love All The Small Things. What's yours? I've watched all 6 seasons of Friday Night Dinner. Isn't it crazy in parts? My favourite character is Adam. What about you?

  • Hello Andrew. You've given me a blast from the past mentioning blink-182! I felt I was a bit late getting into music only when I was in my late teens during the late 90s, blink-182 was the first band I properly listened to and loved.

I'm watching Friday Night Dinner with my now teenage son, we're both laughing out loud so much!

  • Parachutes (album) is my absolute favourite. I like the first four albums, then gradually like each new one less and less. I was lucky enough to see them live when they were just gaining popularity at a small gig at Liverpool University (with Echo and the Bunnymen's Ian McCulloch singing Lips Like Sugar with them!). I also saw them headline Glastonbury (2005? maybe 2003) and also Wembley Stadium.

Being as old as I am, my favourite bands are 80s alternative like The Cure, Depeche Mode, Echo and he Bunnymen, Propaganda and many more.

Inbetweeners character - it's hard to pick because they worked so well as a group!

  • Hi. Thanks for replying. Aren't Coldplay brilliant? I'm looking forward to their concert next September. What's your favourite song? Mine is Fix You. What other bands/singers do you like? Who's your favourite character from The Inbetweeners? I like Will MacKenzie.

  • Welcome (looking at your profile, you have been here a lot longer than me!) I'm a bit out of your age zone, but I had to post to say that I've seen Coldplay several times and you saying Victorious (2010) is old makes me feel VERY old. Joy I loved the inbetweeners at the time - I haven't seen it since it was broadcast though.
