What have you been up too today?

I've made 2 apple cakes, one of which I shall give to my elderly neighbour and a big pan of carrot soup, Fearn and I got rained on, she didn't like it and went all "wet whippet", hunched back, tail between her legs, squinty eyes, and turned round and decided she was going home!

That all sounds so wholesome. I hope Fearn dried off and recovered. I tried a rain coat on my late lab who hated rain but it kept slipping off him.

She does have a raincoat but she still hates going out in the rain, especially heavy rain and wind, she enjoys a good rub with a towel when she gets in though.

What is it though with old men? They can be pretty much deaf to the world, but perk up at the mention of cake, I took my neighbour a cake and he looked like a little boy at xmas, eyes popping out and all excited. I wonder if it's lasted long enough to go with his pannad (tea)?
