Hi, i have a three year old who is waiting an assessment however showing all signs of autism. I have try to reduce dairy and change his diet to gluten as much as i can however its not always easy. He is also taking probiotics and l-carnitine and l-theanine. I have heard Lions mane is supposed to be beneficial too, has anyone tried this?
i have started sending him for 30 mins sessions to a lady who works with SEN kids but not sure how effective it is as he is still quite young. We considered ABA however the price is approc 2k every month which is crazy! Does anyone send their children to any therapies or SEN specialists and what is your experience?
I direct you to the goverment guidence for GPs on treating autism in under 19s (www.nice.org.uk/.../autism-spectrum-disorder-in-under-19s-support-and-management-pdf-35109745515205) which states. "Do not use the following interventions for the management of core features of autism in children and young people: antipsychotics, antidepressants, anticonvulsants, exclusion diets (such as gluten- or casein-free diets)."
