Hi, I'm wondering what is everyone's favourite colour(s)?
Blue has always been my favourite colour!
I like cool colours the best, soothing.
I can see shades of colour that most people don't seem able to distinguish between, I drove everybody mad when chosing the paint for the living room and hall. Colour has dimensions it's rarely flat, that's what many people don't seem able to see. When I was hairdressing I was really good at highlights and lowlights, picking exactly the right mix of colours to weave into the hair to bring out the best in the clients skin tones.
One thing that I have always found fascinating is that 'colour' is just a construct of the brain. Humans have 3 types of 'cones' in the eye, and they detect red, green or blue. This means that 'primary colours' are only applicable to humans and would be different to other animals.
Colour blindness is usually due to only having two type of cones. (Warning: I'm not a scientist, and this if all from memory!)
But what really blows my mind is that a small proportion of the population, usually women, have FOUR types of cones! This means to them that there are four primary colours!! The concept is called 'tetracromacy'. Humans are usually 'tricromats'. I would love to have this. I love colours and lights. It is something that we can't imagine.
Unfortunately, this extra colour wavelength lies between the other three. But some animals have their cones detecting within the infra-red or ultra-violet regions. That would be so amazing to have.

ah I see. I do like your pun haha!
Blue
It was Red but it's being quickly surpassed by Green.
Blue has always been my favourite colour, the vivid blues make my brain tingle. There’s a car colour called Kingfisher blue, I would love to use on one of my projects.
Pink I have always loved the colour my mum tried getting me to grow out of it saying pink is a baby colour but I don’t care.
I had to type that into Google, and it gave this back - so cool!!
I think purple is objectively the best colour, whether it’s my favourite or not
Honestly I don’t like blue-grey as much, I feel like it either needs to be more blue or more grey. I don’t like the “grey area” about it (haha do you like my pun?!)
I find that some colours I like in furnishings etc, that I wouldn't wear, I quite like yellow as a wall colour, especially in the kitchen, but I'd never wear it or I'd look ill. I look good in grey, but I wouldn't want it on walls, soft furnishing's etc.
Bright pink, like fuscia or magenta I don't like, but soft pinks I do like, I don't like bright reds, but more berry colours I love. I don't like rubies, but love garnets.
Softer colours suit me best, more natural blues, pinks, greens and teals, stone, sea, sky and land, browns can suit me too.
Green has been my favourite colour for decades now.
Yeah, a lot of people like blue. But there are so many different kinds! I'm not a fan of dark green, or yellow. Orange I'm okay with. Cyan I'm okay with.
Cobalt blue is pretty awesome to be fair.
That's a fair point. How do you feel about blue-grey?
I actually do like quite a few shades of blues and pinks but they are still said a lot as favorite colors thus my “overrated” claim
Generally any shade of green is my best color. #810a3a is my best-favorite color. Orange is my favorite color (officially, so I cannot change. But I only made it my favorite cause of something Jenn Lee said once years ago). Grey with an E is calming but gray with an A makes me want to shrivel up. I’ve always found yellow horrid. Pink and blue are overrated, but blue is a jerk about it (colors have personalitys..).
Cobalt blue
I love blue too, but I also love grey!!! Something about grey is calming to me and I love all the different shades and how it fits with everything. I don’t like when the sky and clouds are grey though lol
