I have seen very few butterflies this year. There is a walk I do near home and most summers I regularly see speckled wood butterflies there, but not yet this year. However I saw a beautiful sight this morning, a bright green dragonfly.

Dragonflies are amazing! Fun fact they can fly upside down and backwards! They are fab.
I haven’t seen much wildlife lately. I saw a squirrel on the power lines the other day, he/she is up there a lot, I always wonder how it doesn’t get fried?
And yesterday when I was driving I saw some farm animals in some of the fields.

I love dragonflies but didn't know your fun fact so thanks. We have had green ones in our garden. Last year we put in a small pond and I don't recall seeing any. Ever hopeful for this year
Regarding electricity, I believe I have heard that birds don't get shocked as they are not connected to earth, so maybe as there is no connection lower down the pole it is the same for squirrels. We get squirrels in our garden sometimes and they are quite entertaining.
