I have read this evening that this (question in heading) is sometimes used as a screening question as autistic people tend to have a different interpretation to neurotypical people. Just wondering what people's answers would be and whether you're autistic or not. I and my friend both are and we both gave the answer usually given by autistic people.
Also, if anybody knows of any other similar questions or tests, or places where I can look for them, please let me know. I am utterly fascinated!
I like that!
In the English language, the second day of the week begins with T as does Two.....The seventh day of the week begins with S as does Seven
"....They are both in the starting 11 of a football team....They are the numbers a bingo caller shouts out when they pick out 27..."
There are many answers, because it's a broad question.
You could say they're both numbers, both prime numbers, both factors of 14, etc.
But that's just maths.
There are surely many other things they have in common.
I like this one - they're both birds in the traditional Christmas song 'The 12 Days of Christmas'. How could I resist saying that if asked what they had in common??
Possibilities for commonality abound!
So I have just picked this up with a real world person They ask, before they can consider - is the question written as digits or words, and is the question delivered orally or visually?
Can you put me out of my misery and explain what the answers are and why, this is really bugging me now?
they're both single-digit numbers?
I don't know, they're both numbers?
They are both forefingers if counting on hands, starting thumb first
They're both prime numbers. (My answer may have been influenced by someone else giving that answer though.) Without spending more time thinking about it the best I could come up with other than that was they're both whole numbers and they're both single digit numbers.

And the number of letters in their name are also prime numbers (3 and 5)
2 looks like a curved 7 with an extra line
Both prime numbers.
