Padlocks!

Dont know if anyone elses child has an obsession like my son but if they do would love to hear from you.

My little boy who is 8 has lots of obsessions but the main one is padlocks we have a box full and key he knows makes model codes etc and when we go out he has to see if he can see any and look at them

  • I think my little boy has a thing with safety and security main thing is padlocks but has got a thing for postcodes and does say "thank you sorry" over and over even when you say its ok.Some days are hard others ok

  • Hi - my son's never had an obsession with padlocks but has had obsessions with various other things + has created collections of these things over the years.  I found that once the collection is complete and/or he's got all the satisfaction he's going to get out of it, he would move on to something else, altho still have a residual affection for those previous collections + mention them now + then.  If he's interested in numbers, combinations etc, this may have attracted him?  My son is interested in names/numbers etc so things like that tweak his curiosity.
