I find rainy days quite exciting. If there’s not much going on family-wise, days like today are usually time for me to indulge some of my obsessions. I like to listen and watch the rain sounds. Very comforting, listening to the sound of the rain on the roof and windows, especially when I’m up early on my own, and the house is quiet. I like to smell the air and rain too - comforting and strangely stimulating too. I have to be careful - too much of this and I start to get butterflies and overexcited, but in a pleasant kind of way.
Just me? Any other rain fans out there? Other rainy Sunday habits?
I loved the Morcambe and Wise version, the person throwing the water over the top of the set was a young scene shifter called John Sullivan.

I love that scene from the film.
One of my very favourite film scenes.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
A rainy Sunday will often find me "armchair gardening" - re-reading through relevant books and magazines and seed packets and progammes / learning about and planning / organising the associated practical things which might be needed - ready to move those ideas into action ...just as soon as the weather next co-operates in suppport of addressing the tasks I would like to tackle. Not just relying on the well worn gardeing habits (just repeating last year's steps), but also to experiment with something new to me too. It will not all be a success story by the end of the growing season - and yet, there will be things to learn along the way.
That's an amazing song. Great choice
One of my favs Here Comes The Rain Again by Eurythmics.

I learnt last year that a pluviophile is someone who likes rain https://www.pluviophile.com/ ️
Arthritis flare-up so resting most of the day, cooking a nice meal later for when the Dutches finishes work.
Clean things, cook warming wet weather food and read.
Usually I'm at work on a Sunday but not today. So a lazy movie day is on the cards. Hopefully I'll find something to watch while endlessly scrolling Netflix/Amazon.
Possibly Jurassic world: Dominion
Read a book in bed.
I'm a rain fan! Rainy days are good for me because it usually means no sunshine which I find uncomfortable and it means I can stay in and do more of the things I love like writing, sitting with Bowie my cat, sorting my collectables, reading and listening to music.
Sometimes though I'll sit in my room, open the window and listen to the sound of the rain falling. It's such a soothing comfort sound for me and I could listen to it for hours.
One rainy Sunday habit I used to have was painting. I'm overall awful at art related stuff but painting was something I used to enjoy and dabble in on rainy days when I couldn't get outside. I haven't done it for a long time, not sure why really, but it's something I used to really enjoy and I don't think I was too bad at it.
Maybe it's a future rainy day hobby I can pick up again in the future. Who knows?
