Holocaust memorial day, Monday the 27th January

Over 6 million Jews died in the Holocaust, but also gypsies, disabled people, homosexuals and political activists.

Not only did so many die, but the legacy lives on in the survivors, many of whom have had blighted lives due to the horrific events that they experienced.

This atrocity must never be allowed to happen again.

  • I think Paull, you have entirely missed the point.  This is NOT about numbers.  Could have been 600, or 6,000 and the message would be the same.

    Yes, war is war, but not all is fair in love and war.  Troops shooting at one another across a battle field etc. is very different from kidnapping and dehumanising/torturing innocent people before burning them alive in ovens.
