Hi all,
I just joined and was looking into the forums. Nature in general brings me comfort, and flowers in particular. I was wondering if it was the same with some of you. My favorite flower is actually called the gentian. I used to enjoy them while I was in Spain with my family. They are sturdy, and grow in high altitude. I always admired their strength and environment.
Warmly,
Paula
There are so many flowers I love, Iris and hydgrangea at opposite ends of the season,
Lovely topic! I too woukd say the sunflower. I have the fondest memory of growing sunflowers with my mum in the garden as a kid , they'd grow so tall and I was still only little. I've actually started growing some this year and hope to make it a tradition every year.
Beautiful photo.
Eyebright, it looks like a tiny fried egg (to me) and should be out in woodland about now...
I love flowers so much, they make me smile. Sunflowers are my favorite. They're just so tall and beautiful.
I just picked some flowers while walking my dog just now (they're weeds, but flowers nonetheless)
There used to be a cherry blossom tree at the end of my street, I remember the petals making the road pink when they fell, so they have a nostalgic feeling to me
I love fuchsia because my grandma used to have them in her garden, also lavender for the scent
Cherry blossoms. They are pretty and IMO just make nature all the more beautiful. Simple but elegant.
These are why I ️ spring so much!
I hadn't thought of that. Sunflowers have had a special personal meaning from before I knew I was autistic. I have a photo of one I picked years ago in a frame. It now has even more significance thanks.
Daffodils
Gotta be the sunflower for it's symbolic meaning.
Welcome. That's a very pretty flower. I like looking at the detail of flowers. One of my favourite is sunflowers as the colour makes me think of bright days.
Poppies.
