  • To "mention" someone, type @ followed by the start of the forum name, and choose from the list; that person will get a notification of being mentioned

Spam appeal

One of my comments was marked as spam and I just had to appeal it. I did edit it, had a typo and I absolutely despise typos in my posts when I write!

I don't think my editing added anything bad but now my brain is trying to remember exactly what I wrote but I can't think of it now. But there's a part of me worried about it that I did something wrong.

Ok, time for a quick cuddle with my dog and then it's time for my day of education whoo boo!!

  • Yeah, it happens sometimes. This site has a bizarre spam detector that flags normal posts for no reason but lets through the most obvious spam (brand new accounts posting messages with links in 10 year old threads). 

    It will probably show up later. Unfortunately there's not a ton you can do about it. Some people say editing triggers it more often but I edit posts a bunch without problems and the only time I can remember wasn't an edited post (it was talking about medication and maybe it thinks spam are most likely to use names of that stuff?)
