In A Panic. Where Is The Town Hall In Bangor In Wales?

I am not that good at online stuff. Does anyone know which part of Bangor in North Wales the town hall is in? (Just a rough idea will do), as I will be going there soon and I tried online but I am not very good at it as I can find street maps but when I zoom in the small writing I can hardly see resizes itself back to small again. Tried a few different online street maps and they all do this, but even reading what I can read on this little tablet, I can't find it!

Also, added to this is where can I park that is either free or takes coins in the parking machines? I am glad to move from South Wales to North as I couldnever get card machines to work so areas like Tenby, Carmarthen, Aberaeron, Lampeter, and New Quay etc are now total no-go areas for me, so I am glad to be in North Wales where I can park and pay by coins!  Is Bangor coins or card? If it is card (Though my Mum can't walk far and I can't walk much when stressed), how far is the town hall from B&Q in Bangor, as I can walk from there? As I have been to B&Q.

I have no facilities to print things out even if I did know how to do it so I would have to memorize routes etc. I can't memorize names so much but can memorize visual shapes of streets... Usually I can study street shapes to know where things are, but for the last three hours I have been looking at Bangor and can't find its town hall or the street name it is said to be on! Is it actually in Bangor or is it somewhere else like Anglesea as I have looked everywhere on online maps! All I can see is what the town hall looks like!

I am going to drive up there tomorrow but it looks a massive place to be honest!

  • Having lived in Manchester almost 22 years and having family in Ireland, I had to post on this, as I’ve used SailRail between Holyhead and Dublin on Irish Ferries and Stena and I’ve travelled on the North Wales line, both summer & winter, daytime and overnight, mainly TfW and Avanti, where I’ve also used overnight coaches from Manchester via Holyhead - once, the line was blocked between Bangor & Holyhead and they laid on these two beautiful brand new Welsh coaches in the Welsh colours to get us to Holyhead in time for the ferry - North Wales is such a special, beautiful place, even late at night and I’ve also been to Conwy Castle where also, Portmerion is located - the Welsh people are absolutely lovely and even the big box stores, like ASDA in Holyhead are so homely - I absolutely love being immersed in Welsh culture and I have a huge affinity for Wales and the Welsh people - one of our coach drivers from Leeds via Manchester used to live in Bangor (an absolutely beautiful town, even late at night) would drop us off at Holyhead and drive home to Bangor after his shift

  • My nearest town is not far from Portmeirion. Is odd because when I hear steam locos hooting and shunting back and fore I don't rush to look as they are "Normal" but if I hear a diesel horn I look as they are not as common.

We kind have our own beach as it is down a footpath opposite and not many know about it, so it is rare to see more than a few people in the summer down there. Ten people on the few miles of beach and it is crowded!

We do have a neighbour which is a 5 minute walk away so that's not to bad.

Yes. Wales is nice. I find I sort of hold my breath when I am outside Wales. I stay in Wales.
