Funky Friday. Anything goes

Hi Family,

This may be a total flop, but i thought id start this topic.

Just a place to say anything at all that you want. Whatever you are thinking of or dreaming of. Things you are doing. Just a way to get a random big chat happening.

Doesnt have to be funny or serious. No rules.

I will start.

Im currently watching the clock waiting for lunch time so i can have half an hour to read my book. Im fully engrossed and anything that takes me away from it is a pain.

Also im feeling a bit apprehensive. I have decorating to start this weekend and the idea of it is causing me stress.

Right, over to you lovely people

  • I'm considering watching the first episode of Season 1 Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Johnny English 3...

    Decision decision... Thinking

  • I have been ill these last few days not great I’m hoping to carry on building hogwarts out of Lego and on Sunday carry on learning fire spinning I want to start play with fire by summer.

  • It appears that my brain has thought of The King and I. Sure, it's a nice musical and all, but my brain seems to be a whole lot more bothered by how it skews historical facts. It's certainly a very surreal experience, watching an American musical going against what I was taught in history classes—well, yes, King Mongkut did embrace Western ideas, and his son, Chulalongkorn embraced it further. That's one true parts of the musical/movie. Even more odd is that Thai is spoken only once, and it was an order to open a door. The rest of the "Thai" dialogue is just unintelligible and is—from what I remember—more closer to Chinese. To be fair, both Thai and Chinese are both tonal languages...

Excuse the info-dumping. Haven't been on the forum for quite a while—I am not sure how do I provide good advice... But anyways, I should go check the bookshop tomorrow. The selection is limited, and they are mostly paperbacks, unfortunately, but... eh... it's the best I could find without resorting to the World of Books site.

  • Sounds like a busy morning. Well deserved rest!!!!

  • I'm just relaxing.

Hope got her spot-on gel, and nails clipped, at the Vet. Then, I took my car to a mechanic - more squeaky noises - and the brake pads went. I do put a lot of miles, on her, due to my lifestyle.
