Hi everyone.
Happy New Year! I hope you all have a good 2024 and are staying safe in this rather hostile weather that's been battering the country of late.
I live on a farm which has a public footpath that runs through it and as the farm is from the 18th Century originally and has many old trees I got a tree expert out last year to check if any needed to come down.
There was one in particular I was concerned about but this expert said it was in good standings and the weather wasn't a concern regarding it.
Well, about an hour ago I was in the kitchen cooking and I heard an almighty crash. I look out the window and what do I see?
The tree that was safe and not in danger of the wind unsettling it had come down.
Luckily the new cattle I bought last year were in the upper fields.
Luckily, I have an uncle who works in construction and has a crane and he's said he'll come round tomorrow to shift this to one of the fields for me.
Be safe and careful out in that weather. As you can see it's causing a lot of damage.
