It was supposed to be so easy

Just before the year-change, I drove to town; to get diesel, and an electricity top-up, at a 24-Hour Shop. However, the fuel could only be paid at the self-service till. And I wanted to pay by cash.

In the end I went to the till, forgetting to take the semi-skimmed milk and dark chocolate I also paid for, and the machine wouldn't accept my £20 notes. DanskeBank NI notes, legal Sterling, to pay for £40 of fuel. In the end, a Policewoman at the shop asked me what the matter was. In the end, I gave her the cash. And she used her card to get the £40 of diesel, for me.

I'll NEVER get diesel there, again.
