Struggling with my autistic child

I have a 6 year old daughter who has been diagnosed of ASD 2years ago back in my country. Now for her to start a special need school here in the UK, she has to have an Education health care plan (EHCP) and the process is a bit long I heard. So for her to get that she has to be assessed here again and many processes involved too. She has been admitted into a mainstream school while the process is going on. A special need teacher was employed for a one to one with her while in class just to attend to her needs. They have allowed her just 3hours (9-12am) for a start just to get her in school mood and for them to know her better. She started school 10days before the 1st term vacation, and in that 10days I have been called 3times to come pick her up before 12 as they said she becomes cranky and screaming and not allowing other children concentrate.
This has not been so easy for me, I have been unable to work now since I brought her to the Uk. Thought her starting school would even avail me little time to do other things, but no. Just 3hours isn’t even enough let alone now having to be on standby so when they need me to come pick her up from school.
I just need help as I am depressed now. My cousin we leaving with now says I need to get my accommodation as she would be having some of her family members come around. She has been so nice for the time spent.
I have cried and cried and I am so depressed and down. I don’t know where to go from here. I just need help and advise please. Thank you

  • I don't have an answer for you but just thought you would appreciate to know that you have someone else in a similar situation. The school that my daughter attends only takes her for ONE hour a day. I have just moved back into the UK and trying to find my feet so it's tough on me emotionally, physically and financially. There aren't any cafes near the school so I spend that hour sitting in the school reception area because home is 20 minute walk away. Would be 40 minutes of walking for 20 minutes of me time? Just doesn't seem worth it. As I said don't have any advise for you, just to say you are not alone mum let's just keep at it hopefully things will work out right.
