What did you get for Christmas?

I got three things in total - two books and a giant bear lol Laughing

I love reading, I love books, I'll normally get books for Christmas. My family have a rule that we don't go overboard with gifts. We buy each other three things and no going too expensive, hard to in the current expensive times.

The books I was bought was the first Game of Thrones book and omg I'm so happy I also got The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern, a book I've read many, many, many times before and did have a copy but I dropped it and it was ruined. I was literally over the moon to receive it today!

Then there's the big bear. I'm not sure where I'll put her but I'll try my best to squeeze her into my bedroom, somehow, someway.

  • I mainly received cash, which suits me fine. It means there are no restrictions on where, when, or how I choose to spend it. Relaxed

  • Money is a good gift because you don't need to worry if the receiver will like it because they will because they can buy exactly what they want with it. This is one of my biggest anxieties with Christmas, buying a pressie that the receiver will actually want, like and enjoy. I spent so much time before Christmas, shopping, browsing, trying to ensure it would be something they like. At least though I don't need to worry about this for another year again...

Everyone seemed to be happy with what they got. I hope they were.

Do you know what you'll be buying yourself with your Christmas money?

  • Yes, that is precisely why I like money. Unfortunately, I have relatives who believe one must have gifts that can be opened. Not too bad if they have asked me to be specific about what I would like, but a waste of their time and money if the item is something I will never make use of.

I may use my Christmas money to treat myself to some much-needed new tops if I can find any that appeal to me.

  • This year I was lucky, everything bought for me was something I like and will use. But there has been times where stuff was bought which I don't think they really thought about. I got a football one year. Lol.

I hope you treat yourself to something nice. Whenever I get money I keep it in a tin in my room, I don't buy as much anymore, I never want much.
