I'm hoping that anybody can help me please!
Little history.. went to GP over a year ago as my daughter as alot of anxiety in large crowds, struggles in school with loud noises and will not sleep and alot of intrusive thoughts and more so he had a chat with us how long that's been happening and it have increased since going to new school and school is bigger. Sleep however always been an issue before going to new school and periods seem to increase all this also. He stated to us that he would refer us to CAHMS for possible Autism and ADHD. My daughter gave the GP no eye contact she never does to anybody but her father and I. Had a chat to school about this and they agreed and told us that our daughter will leave the classroom if gets to busy hide in toilets at lunchtime as its busy and they put passes in place to help.ease this! I thought how great!! Well, CAHMS declined to help us so Doctor referred us to another Agency called SPACE programme. School was amazing during this process and a Neurological exam was mentioned. Didn't hear anymore till a meeting last week and was told by school that they won't go forward with NDA no longer as my daughter is a superb student, she is very bright and causes them no problems so there is no need!! How is it fair that they won't help because she is good in school although she is not in the house they don't care as she causes them no issues. If she refuses to go to school due to high anxiety such as it being non school uniform as that change really upsets her they emailing me for medical evidence to authorise absence! How can I provide that? I feel stuck now coz I feel they dismissing us and I have no knowledge on who to turn to it's the schools word is final and I could cry watching her struggle everyday anybody know what I could do or contact to help them reconsider it's not fair to be treated less coz she masks and want to please her teachers as suppose to knocking children out and flipping tables. It feels wrong.
