Can anybody else vividly taste foods when you look at it?
Sorry I didn't know where else to post this. When I walk around the supermarket and I look at something from more than a few seconds I can vividly test it in my mouth, not just a little salivation, I'm actually eating it. I can remember exactly what it tastes like. It gets overwhelming very quickly in the supermarket.
I have ADHD and ASD so I find sometimes I go through phases of eating new food and trying new things. But then I sort of fall into a stress trap where I can only eat two brands of noodles and soup and toast.
I didn't think it was consistent enough to be AFRID though? It comes and goes, depending on the stressors in my life.
I pace round and round in my kitchen. I'm sort of aware that I'm feeling hunger but not really aware and I can't even bear to open the cupboard sometimes and look at the food. Usually eventually have my usual noodles and even just eat a sugar cube.... A piece of toast .
I am craving new food but can't bear to even look at it. But eventually it passes
