It's snowing!!!

It's snowing! I opened my curtains and could see the big white snowflakes falling against the dark sky. I've been sat watching it for ages its just so mesmerizing. I wonder what makes snow so mesmerizing? It's almost magical what with it being so close to xmas.

When it's lighter I'll be able to see if it's set on the ground. If I'm really lucky they'll close the school! Relaxed️ If not I'm sledging to school today. In my dreams. Ok gonna go get some breakie.

  • During the early hours of Sunday morning, I noticed there was a light dusting of snow outside. However, by 9am it had been washed away by rain, which sums up what the weather has been like during recent days in my area... Wet! Cloud rain

It has to be said that when it snows, my reaction is such that people could be forgiven for thinking I had never seen snow before. When my son had popped downstairs to make a drink during the early hours of Sunday morning, I had pointed to the windows, excitedly exclaiming, "Look out of the windows. It's been snowing!" Lol

Irrespective of the time of year, I do think there is something wonderful and almost magical about the sight of snow.

  • You could try some dancing on ice sometime (so long as you're wearing appropriate footwear e.g.  ice skates) Slight smile

  • Are you familiar with the expression "falling ar$e over t*t"? That is exactly what would happen if I attempted to dance on ice wearing ice skates. Laughing

Sorry to disappoint, but I think I'll stick to walking and wearing boringly sensible shoes with a sturdy grip.

Let's just say that I never did manage to master the art of roller skating without there being railings or someone with me to hold on to and stop me from falling over. Lol.

  • Yes, I heard that phrase (including directed at+involving me) especially when I lived in Bradford, West Yorkshire (they tend to get thick snow there in my experience).
