im new and need some help plz

hi i have a 5yr son who has autism i have know for just over a year now. but i have been told of some people that as they get older they can stat to get other things of the spectrem as they say. so will my son pick up these things or will he just stay as he is now

    As a person with AS, my phobias and anxieties increased when I reached the age of 7, and I then developed OCD. However, I believe this could have been solved if I had received help earler, but I was not diagnosed until I was 21 (I am now 23).  OCD developed, I believe, as a direct consequence of my AS, and it has been the OCD that has really disabled my life. My brain does not work properly-I know this is the cause: a combination of genetics and stress during my mum's pregnancy (her mum had terminal cancer), and I was only 5 pounds 4 ounces when born on my due date.  I am constantly stressed and anxious; I am convinced that this is caused by a hormonal imbalance, but there are many different theories as to what causes autism. As to what came first, autism or OCD, you could say it is the classic chicken and egg situation, but I am inclined to believe that AS came first, and I cannot really distinguish the one from the other. I don't understand people, take things too far, am very rigid and self-centred, although a limited amount of empathy has developed with age. Certainly at school I could not make friends, and this began way before I developed OCD, although I have always been fairly anxious
