Woo-hoo! Wahey!

I am currently breathing what seems like a long-overdue sigh of relief. For the past couple of weeks, or thereabouts, I had been suffering from pain and discomfort due to a fragment of tooth (or possibly bone) protruding from my gum. The pain included earache, which had been driving me potty.

Whilst I could have booked an emergency dental appointment to have it removed, I had been resisting for as long as I could, as I couldn't justify the hassle of traveling to the other side of my town for the sake of an appointment that would probably last less than 5 minutes.

In recent days, I had been able to wiggle the fragment, but attempts to remove it myself had proven far too painful, despite the application of oral numbing gel. My most recent attempt had been yesterday morning. Well, this morning, I looked in the mirror and noticed that more of the fragment had worked its way out of my gum. Without going into too much detail, it required minimal effort to remove. There was no pain or any bleeding from my gums either, which I considered a bonus.

I am now crossing my fingers and hoping there will be no further fragments. Thumbsup
