I have recently met some families with young children with Autism and Asbergers. It has been such a delight to see how these childrens have come out of themselves just by being involved with riding and handling of my Shetland Ponies. I intend doing some mre research on his issue as to why they connect so well with my four legged friends.

  • This is interesting. I think animals in general can have a calming influence on highly stressed individuals. Speaking for myself, sheep are very relaxing to be around. They are always smiling and happy looking: a picture of contentment. I often visit sheep fields in the countryside, and I even talk to the sheep. They are so incredibly cute
