Hello everyone
I need some advice and views, our daughter is six but is the height of a ten year old. She is has ASD and SPD, last year we brought a normal everyday stroller which currently stays in the boot of our car, we brought it because going out and doing everyday things like going to town overstimulated her and she hit tired very easierly. This made nice family days out a massive chore cause if we went some where nice like the zoo she would be tired and over stimulated a quarter if the way round. Due to her size she gets funny looks from people for being in this pushchair but we got used to them and it was either that or we became hermits that didn't ever go anywhere. My question though is this, she is far to big now and I am contemplating buying a special needs pushchair, what does everyone think? We have realised that our daughter actually uses the pushchair as a safe place rather then because she is tired, we have had occasions where we have been out without it and she ends pushing, walking into people etc due to being overstimulated. I don't want to make her lazy or do the wrong thing but we need to have a life and our daughter needs to have a much exposure to the outside world as possible. Do we get a new pushchair or let her get on with it or do we not take her places because of how it makes her? Thx in advance for any advice xxx
