Autism & Criminal Justice System

There's a very new article, yesterday in the Law Society Gazette, coming up when I google NAS (under the google heading of news for autism), that may interest this forum.

It is by Graham Hydari who attended a recent conference on autism and the criminal justice system, and gives a lawyer's perspective on the conference and the issues in general.

It was interesting reading and maybe someone is in a stronger position than I to develop this, and there may also be people who were at the conference in question.

There is also a rather disturbing comment added at the end from one "anonymous" (clearly not a fan of NAS) who is a parent, and highlights other issues, particularly the growing use of Mental Capacity Orders to restrain and isolate people on the spectrum.

Maybe someone can fill in some background to this.
