Scam calls.

Have any of you received suspicious scam calls recently?

Today I got a call claiming to have an urgent message for me from the immigration service. I was asked to press 1 for English or 2 for Chinese. I hung up.

Last year I got a call that there was a £600 transaction on my visa credit card and asking me to press 1 to speak to an advisor if I didn't recognise the transaction.  I don't have a visa  credit card.

  • Hi Robert.

Yes, this is a common occurrence for me. I leave my phone on silent as the ringing can be a trigger for sensory overload and it has an in-built feature that tells me if it's suspected spam. Only those who know me normally call me, except my GP surgery, so I normally know whether to answer or not.
