Autistic strengths

My support worker asked me yesterday if I have any strengths. I said no, I couldn't think of any at the time. She then asked me something else which no one has asked me before.

Do I have any autistic strengths. 

At the time I couldn't think of anything. Whenever people ask me something it takes a while before my brain can come up with the answers, and as I thought it would, it's decided to come up with them when I should be sleeping.

From what I can gather my autistic strengths are the following.

  • Excellent memory - I only need to watch something once and I never forget it. Same with going to places, I remember it almost photographically.
  • Very honest.
  • Great eye for detail - often notice things others do not.
  • Can mimic other people and TV characters voices with ease.
  • Repetitive - I can watch the same things and listen to the same songs on repeat for hours. I never get bored.
  • I'm like an encyclopedia of knowledge on the things I like and find interesting.

  • honesty seems a big one, but its not a good thing.... 

    every instance of honesty has always lead to bad things, to rejections and so on... honest to a fault, and if your so honest you will tell your faults and you will be rejected for them because society isnt wise enough to respect that its better to know and be more aware of faults than it is to focus on good things and sell yourself. to be aware of faults and open and honest about them means you cant be taken by surprise, you know your weakness, you cant fail without seeing it before as you know where youd fail at, you analyse better, you aware more. honesty is good but society doesnt want honesty, society wants liars that can talk the talk but yet cannot walk the walk

    Im a more of walk the walk type as words are words they are oftern hollow words where as actions and people makeing youthings always mean a lot more than vile weasal words or bad actions i promise is the most over used frase used my ficckle people who are liars allways lieing is an art if you havent a good memory forget it you will be discovered in days minutes and seconds i have ied in the past and had to bear lots of concequinces as a result life is never plain sailings as seas are very rough if life was so easy we whould be millionaires but then there problems are amplified 100 percent life will always be hard lots of people are under the ilsion that can always be easy love and war always have a way of comming into the equations  some way down the line
