A wintery morning

It feels distinctly wintery this morning. My heating is on. The grass is white with frost and when I went outside to get the milk in my face was kissed by that invisible wintery breeze. Not the kind of kiss one wants, though I can't afford to be choosey with my kisses these days.Smiley

I have to go out later this morning and repair some fences, they decided to fall down just as it started to get cooler. Someone UP there doesn't like me.. but for now I'm sat drinking a warm cup of tea with my cat Mister Biddlesworth nestling up on my lap.

  • During recent days I have been finding it difficult to adjust to the sudden drop in temperature. To avoid putting the heating on, I had initially taken to wearing a snuggle hoodie (or whatever they are called) and dressing gown on top of my PJs. However, as the days have progressed, I have increasingly found myself needing to put the heating on.

Last Friday, I ventured outdoors to attend an appointment. I noticed then how much colder it felt compared with the last time I'd had cause to go out, and I confess that it was a shock to the system. I couldn't wait to get back home and hibernate. Brrr!

If I'm finding the colder temperature difficult now, then I dread to think what I'll be like around December and January. Perhaps I'll have to order myself an Eskimo suit. Laughing
