3 Good Things (Redux)

Since the thread, which began May 2021, seems to have vanished, I wish to create a new one.

1. I paid for a condensed tumble dryer, which I reserved on Tuesday; for delivery, tomorrow. Also paid for a three-year warranty. (In cash)

2. I made a poem, entitled 'Storm in a teacup', about the arrival of Agnes. (SEYMOUR!)

3. Bought more Farm-Fresh milk today.

  • I like this time of year too. Our show is held in a local (council-managed) mansion house that is an art gallery. There are four of us actors, and this year the story is that of a mysterious Victorian widow who collects items related to Scottish supernatural creatures, some of whom have come to take revenge for the wrongs she has done them. Our council archives have arranged for appropriate items from the collection to be displayed in the rooms, with fantasy labels attached. So for instance there is a box of preserved butterfly wings and beetle cases, described as being remnants of a fairy army that was massacred. I actually made one of the props - a 'mummified fairy' from an old plastic skeleton decoration, wrapped in muslin cloth and skeletonised leaves, in a glass jar with moss and a handwritten dip-pen and ink label.
