Hi all, i'm Nessie, i have a 17 year old daughter who has Autism and she is quite ,placid, and prefers her own company. I also have a grandson, who is 6 he is a lovely little boy and is being seen by consultants at local hospital. for his behavour is extreme at times. He will suddenly be so angry throw things and shout and scream sometimes for no reason we can think of,other times could be due to no ps3 due to wetting himself. He will poo on the carpet, spit at people not listen, glare at you if he isnt happy with what you say. only eats with his fingers, sulks if cant get his own way,is delayed at school with his learning, was delayed with his speech as a toddler, has never grasped the fact you have to wee in the toilet not next to it. chats away to himself when playing exciting games , doesnt like toys only anything with buttons and a screen.Runs off from his mum often has temper tantrums on the buses if she grabs his coat he shouts your breaking my arm, he very often accuses his mum of hurting him, He lies and steals and often says it wasnt him that did something , even if you stood and watch him do it.
Now as ive mentioned my daughter is quite ,which has its problems at times. so im not used to all this angry shouting and tantrums, do you think my little man (grandson) seems to have Autistic traits? And how can i help his mum with these outbursts,as we have only learnt its no good trying to reason with him.
