What sounds do you hear at night?

Homebird

As I lay awake last night, for a while there were lots of sounds. If they are not sudden they can help me fall asleep. However if I don't recognize them I try to work out what they are before I get to sleep.

Last night as the air was still I heard trains, plane, cars passing nearby, distant hum of cars and boy racers. 

Sometimes I also hear helicopters and a hum of something in the distance.

Sometimes it is wildlife. I have been pleased recently to hear an owl a couple of times.

  • i hear my neighbour putting his washing machine on and it slamming all over the place with high rotation per minute. i also hear my neighbour using a power tool at midnight. and i also hear my neighbour making weird scarping noises against the wall at night too. oh and i also hear my neighbour coughing very loudly all through the night until 5am in the morning... and i also hear my neighbour getting dodgy visits at night from people in cars probably him selling them drugs lol
