Do you like your birthday

I like it when friends would send something nice (but I never put pressure on them to) but if I wind up in a celebration I had no say in, less so.

6 years ago I'd have welcomed a big surprise birthday party because my younger brother got one (and I never did) but I can't imagine it now. Mainly cos I'm less liked than him...

That's nice of friends to send you something nice. I've not had friends before, I find being social extremely difficult and my voice is weak and that makes it harder.

They sent cards in previous years. I did something stupid a few months back which meant I lost every friend I ever had but it wasn't until my 23rd that I received a birthday gift from someone outside of my family, and one that the person had clearly thought through (a book titled 'How to Write Comedy').

In recent years I would design birthday cards for people. Not just friends but acquaintances too. 

Sorry about your friends I hope they come back.

I spend so much time thinking about what to buy my family. A lot of thought goes in to what I buy people, I don't think they realise how much effort I put in to gift buying
