Do you play games? Which ones do you like?

Can be computer games or games like Monopoly Smiley I actually have a huge collection of Monopoly, I own several editions including the rarer Simpsons Treehouse of Horror edition.

I play some video games but not like I used to. Now I only really play some Nintendo mostly Mario Kart.

  • Not a big fan of first person shooter although I did have a brief flirtation with the first few versions of Call of Duty. I prefer games with a bit more depth. Tower defence is good, my favourite being Dark Reign. Also submarine sims and probably my most played game which is Civilisation. All the revisions. Recently I enjoyed Return to Moria on PS5. Board games always feature in our family gatherings and I’m trying to introduce RPG, though with little success.

  • I also play larger conspiracy games, where I try and use tiny levers to get big societal effects without being noticed doing it.

I use the same tools that the people who really run things do.

I'm currenlty joining in the wide effort to stop the nuclear war that we are very close to getting ourselves into.

Anyone who wants to join in, Go and acquire the free PDF for "the hidden persuaders", by Vance packard, read and understand it, and you can join in!

Once you realise how it can work for you, it's GAME ON!!

    Fnord.

  • Oooo... I love this question!
I LOVE to play UNO or UNO flip.

  • NO-ONE lays board or card games with me any more (except occasionaly my Daughter will play (nuclear war)

Please invite me to one of your family gatherings and I'll try and fix yer PC whilst I'm there.

  • Skyrim is such a comfort.

  • I love games. My family always plays games during the holidays. Our favorites are Phase 10 and dominoes, with some Heads Up and other random games. Someone usually buys a new one every year to play. I LOVE monopoly but it was hard to get anyone to play it with me as a child because it's a really long game. We did play a Game of Thrones themed monopoly one year because my sister bought it for me for Christmas. I had a Harry Potter board game that I would play by myself all the time, and I loved playing Clue, too. When my husband and I first started dating we would spend HOURS playing Risk and we even created our own rules and modified the map to make it more and make it last even longer. Joy I swear, when I was a kid, computer games were like crack to me. There was Tamale Loco, some racing games, some tower defense games, and ALOT of games that I don't remember the names for but I can remember what the screens looked like. One was like a dude stranded on beach and you had to navigate him across the beach (idk what the destination was, I probably never beat the game). I loved Shockwave.com, HarryPotter.com, Willy Wonka.com, and Looney Tunes.com. Oh and there was Dragon Fable, which was the first thing I ever spent money on when I got my very own debit card (like $20 to upgrade to unlimited or something).

I also love to play Diablo II, Skyrim, Age of Mordor, and Age of War on the Xbox. I have a few other games queued up to try but I've been too busy to do much playing lately. I also REALLY love Lord of the Rings Online for PC. My PC is broken right now so I haven't played in a long time.

  • As a genre, I like tower defense games. They're pretty satisfying.

I also liked the PC game 'Ticket to Ride'(which was originally a board game). If you dig around the game folders, you can find the audio files that correspond to game events. A little overwriting magic and you can make the game full of the most ridiculous sounds for your entertainment.

  • I can throughly recooemnd the Flying Buffalo game "Nuclear War" for all the family.

Seriously good & fun, quick to learn, card and spinner game.

  • No I don't play games, I know I'm unusual in this, I've not played a computer game since about the late 1980's, I don't know how to use the controllers and they always crash on me, I press one button and the whole thing goes kapluey.

I used to play scrabble quite a lot and enjoyed it, but we wern't always playing competitively it was more about making good words, I used to do the same on my own a lot too. Not being competitive makes game playing difficult as others are and I dont' understand and get upset and they get cross.

  • I have been hyperfixated on the Ace Attorney series of games on and off for months. I would highly recommend them to anyone who likes problem solving, puzzles or murder mystery style stuff. Its available on Xbox, Switch and play store off the top of my head. It is so fun.

  • I play many video games. I've started the most recent Legend of Zelda game, which I like because there is a lot to do but it never pressures you into anything, it can be quite relaxing.

I have an aversion to Monopoly though, I remember my sister always beating me no matter what properties I tried to buy Grinning I do play board games with a group of friends though, they take me a while to get used to the rules but I tend to pick them up quickly. Games like Ticket to Ride and Small world.

  • Monopoly's a classic, right? That Simpsons Treehouse of Horror edition sounds rad, by the way. Must be cool to have a collection like that.

  •  I'm a bit like you! Used to be a gaming enthusiast, but now it's more relaxed. I love some Mario Kart and classics like Monopoly, especially special editions. Also, I sometimes play something more complicated (like [link removed]). It's all about having fun and enjoying the games we like, right?

  • I have a Nintendo Switch and I love my platformers. Mario, Crash, Spyro etc.

  • I like playing days gone and sims 4 , red dead redemption 2 and many other video games and and i like board games I played uno the card game with my mum recently and hope to play some Harry Potter Cluedo , uno and Halloween bingo for Halloween ^_^ I like scrabble and Yahtzee and monopoly and Disney trivial  and doggie bingo ^_^

  • I tend not to play card or board games, and mostly only single player computer games. Is there a reason? Yes, I'm a really bad looser! Not just a poor looser, I'm a 'go into a raging meltdown looser'. For my own sake and those around me, I just avoid becoming involved in them.

  • I love, love, love playing Minecraft with my boyfriend. I do also like board games/ card games etc. I have had quite a few fun nights playing dobble (harry potter edition, specifically) while we were all drunk.

  • Uno, Game of Life and my Monopoly was my Mum's, so possibly bought just after the second world war. The moving pieces are cardboard mounted in painted wood.

  • I rely a lot on video games to stay calm. Having something I can just bury myself in whenever I need it for a few weeks is really useful, so sprawling things like Assassin's Creed or Skyrim are my favourite.

  • Hi M,

Yeah I'm into my computer gaming. I spend most of my time programming but I do game a lot as well.

I think the first computer game I played was RuneScape and then I moved on to World of Warcraft, Minecraft, Sims, GTA, League of Legends, Plants vs Zombies and the Lego games.

My current go to game is League. I've been playing it years now and am a bit of a pro at that one now!

I haven't played Monopoly for a while. I used to play with my sister but turned out she was a massive cheat Joy
