Some positive news

Of late, I feel that some of the things I have posted about have fallen into the category of 'woe is me'. Therefore, I wish to balance it out by sharing what I consider to be some positive news.

When I had cause to visit an emergency dental practice a few weeks ago, my son and I had been in the process of waiting to be registered with a different dental practice, which is more local to us.

Yesterday, my son discovered he had received a missed call a few days previously from that dental practice. The purpose of the call had been to inform him that we are now both registered. As a result, we have now both booked appointments for an initial check-up. Yay! Grinning

The dental pain, which I had previously been suffering from has reduced to a level that I am now able to tolerate without the need for any pain-relieving medication. In the event that it flares up and becomes intolerable again, the fact that I am now registered with the 'local' dental practice means that I can now book an emergency appointment there.

Knowing that I am now fully registered with the 'local' dental practice has helped to ease some of my anxiety. The dental practice is one that I had previously been registered with many years ago and the dentist had always done their best to make me feel relaxed and at ease.

  • Just a quick note on this. Having registered with a new nhs dental surgery they told me that I had to first book a check up, before they would be able to book any emergency appointments. The check up was around a 2 month wait. Since having regular check ups when I had to book an emergency appt last week I was seen the same day. Just in case your dentist is the same.
