Show us your Pu55Y !!

I've been wanting to do this thread with that title for so long now.For the avoidance of any unfortunate misunderstandings which will just give the mods a lot of unneccesary work this thread is for CAT PICTURES.

Here's the bestest cat in the world, to start us off.

His name is BlackJack, his mortal remains lie at the bottom of our garden, but he lives on in my memory, and at the place where he last lived, there is a Blue Plaque commemorating his life set discreetly above the front door and under the fire escape. He taught us an awful lot about cats, and psychic phenomena, and genuine, un-alloyed love and trust.

Parents
  • This is Sweety. She passed away on December 19th and she is sorely missed. My wife and I have been moving from location to location for a few years and Sweety had been with us for all of it. She was a remarkable cat.

  • I’m sorry for your loss CG, I know how hard it is losing a feline family member. She was beautiful Crying cat face

  • Thank you. We're still grieving for her. So many habits that we have to let go of. We still find ourselves saying hello to her when we get home, etc..

  • Thank you, I Sperg. I'm sure there will be another cat in our future, but we're going to give it a while. I do like your "cats protection pair of adult cats option"!

  • It's been 11 years now and I still get a sense of BJ being by me and if no-ones looking I'll stretch out my hand and rub an ear that I can no longer feel physically, but it somehow still feels is being offered.

I feel your pain, and may I say she is in lovely condition in that pic, you clearly gave a her a lovely life..

You can never get a replacement cat,  but I have found that you can provide another cat with a good life, and be loved back in return from another cat (or as in our case cats, plural). Being in my early sixties and her ladyship in her ffities we went for the "cats protection pair of adult cats option" which apparently does not enjoy the sort of take up that kittens do, where you get a pair fo cats who lived for 12 or so years apparenlty in a flat with one couple who then split up and for some reason no one wants, or can keep the cats so they end up in CP. It took THREE years to make them happy and content with their new life.

Blackjack. Invested so much effort into training us, it seemed a pity to let it go to waste...
