Hi,

Today I heartely visited the RSPCA and then had to be turned away because they were closed.

Having decided to buy a cat, I felt the need to really be secure in my decision.

I decided on a cat that was loving in return. Potential for some good adventures with my cat indoors for a few weeks. Fully ready.

  • Hi James.  I have a rescue cat.  In some ways she's an atypical cat.  We've had her a long time now.  It's important to choose a cat that is trusting and affectionate.  Some rescue cats are not trusting or particularly affectionate because they've had a bad start in life because of their relationships with humans. Whilst they will improve over the years with kind people, they never completely get over having a bad start in life.  So, really check out the cat's history before you decide.  If it's a bad history and/or if it's an incomplete history, then either choose another kitten/cat or accept that the cat you choose may not be exactly what you wanted!  I also think that getting a cat flap in your door is a good idea, then the cat can come and go as it pleases without disturbing the person it lives with.  I hope you enjoy having your cat.
