What happens when you die

I've been thinking about death a lot lately. My parents are both older and I've been struggling with my own health problems and last night I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about it. I don't scare easily but the idea of death scares me.

  • Whilst I'm not really one for religion, it gives me comfort to think that maybe there is something better waiting for us after we die. That although we have ceased to exist in this world, there is another world where we are reunited with dearly departed friends and loved ones, which equips us with an ability to keep an eye on those we may have left behind in this world.

Since my dad died a few years ago, I sometimes like to think of him being in some other-worldly country pub, socialising with friends and relatives that have left this world. At other times, I like to think of him enjoying a stroll along some other-worldly beach, or partaking in other activities that brought him pleasure in this world.

It happens less often now, but occasionally I get a sense that he's here, which I find incredibly calming.

  • One thing that I did learn for sure during Covid was that evil is a very real and tangible force in our world - and there are certain people in our world who are truly evil - people who suffer because of such evil people will meet thier eternal reward, as I believe that God knows the real intentions of one’s hearts, minds and souls, at a very deep spiritual level

  • T.B.H. Evil tends to bring misery in it's wake.

Just go do a bit of evil if you don't believe me and see what happens..

I did bad consciously as a kid, and semi-unconsciously as a young adult, and now I'm trying very hard to kick the habit.

Evil works the same way as tobacco. It takes a while to adjust to, then it's really hard to adjust back, until you change you way of thinking, then it's a breeze. Until the next and different temptation.

The cackling evil beings you refer to probably have a solid facade of contentment and gracious living, but they have to keep jumping through all sorts of hoops to keep it going.

And that's before Almighty God takes direct action. I think I've got most of the bigger evil out of my life, but the smaller errors, I think I am drowning or floating in. Then there's the stuff I do that I feel is righteous but am simply either in error or (as can happen) deceiving myself..

Whether the reader agrees with me or is strongly opposed to my way of looking at things if you have any sense at all, you can clearly see that a great many people have been lied to about iraqi weapons of mass destruction, covid's origins and treatments, the cause of and conduct of the Ukraine war, and any conspiracy theorist worth his tin foil will tell you a great many other things too.

    I. Just. Want. The .Lying. TO. Stop.
