What happens when you die

I've been thinking about death a lot lately. My parents are both older and I've been struggling with my own health problems and last night I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about it. I don't scare easily but the idea of death scares me.

  • I had problems like that. I used to think it was darkness, but for how long, forever, but how long is forever, never ending, infinite. And that really scared me, that I may see darkness which will never, ever stop. But, asking my best mate if he was scared to die, he replied with "No, but I'm scared I haven't lived yet.". 

    Since then, I haven't been worried about what's after death, but worry on what's before, as hard as it may be.
