What happens when you die

I've been thinking about death a lot lately. My parents are both older and I've been struggling with my own health problems and last night I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about it. I don't scare easily but the idea of death scares me.

Thank you for your replies on this. It's given me a lot of considerations on what might happen. I love the idea of there being a Heaven but I just feel like that's probably not a thing. I would love it to be but I don't think so. I do like the idea of reincarnation.
