Posting more

I get bad anxiety which is why I post rarely. But I feel I'm missing out, like when I'm too anxious to go out so I'm trying to post more. Does anyone else get too anxious to post? I want to be involved more. Just waiting for the anxiety to settle and give me a break.

  • Does anyone else get too anxious to post?

It happens to all of us from time to time, even the more prolific posters like myself.

I would like to recommend some reading material that may help:

An Aspie's Guide to Overcoming Anxiety - Attwood, Tony, Evans, Craig R., Lesko, Anita (2015)

    eISBN 9781784501198

It has a number of autistic peoples own experiences of anxiety and how they deal with it so may offer techniques that can work for you. I found the meditation and mindfulness strategies work best for me and with practice and engage them and take on almost any situation with a few minutes notice, or wing it at a moments notice if I need too (but then I need time to come off the stress after).

Not everyone will find this works for them, but there are plenty of other suggestions that may click with you.
