An Ode. (Re-edited)

I've decided to repost in full:

I "penned" this when the poetry thread was about a few days ago. It isnt a futile attempt to cheer things up but i think today is the right day to share it. There is unexpected good in this place (and in life) if you keep your eyes open.

An Ode.

I have been around here for ages
While previous members have faded
Now I know there's a light
That shines ever so bright (ly)
From the corners and depths of these pages

Perhaps this is out of turn and not helpful, in which case I apologise, but I hope you decide to post what you had written. I have really valued your thoughts and contributions during my time here. I just felt the need to say this.

As I said though, apologies if this was not the correct thing to do.

It’s a lovely piece of writing and I am glad you shared it. A much needed reminder of what this space can be.
