I have recently been diagnosed with ASD. I wonder how would it be to have Autistic friends. Would we be able to connect more?

Hi, 

I am Aisha, 23 years old. I am Autistic. Before that, I did not have an idea about it. I am curious to meet a person who is Autistic just as I am. I'm looking to learn and meet someone who can understand. Since I have always felt different around others. I wonder how it would feel not to feel too different.

Let me know what you think, did you get a chance to meet more Autistic people when you got diagnosed?

    I've not met many autistic people since I was diagnosed, only really on here I've met people like me everyone else isn't on the spectrum though I suspect my sister was but she was gone before I had the chance to ask about that. Local clubs might be a place you can meet other autistic people or make at your local autistic society I've got one pretty close to me though I've never attended any meets.

    If you'd rather meet people online then this site is the perfect place. Everyone is like minded and nice here. I've received so much love and support here it's my fav place.
