Worried about future career

Hello,

I am just wondering what people think.

I am autisic and would love to become a primary school teach then a SENCO and I am on my way to becoming them. I am just wondering how parents of autistic children, parents who are autisic would feel about it to see if they would feel comfortable and more at peace as that is one of the reasons why I want to become a teacher.

Parents

  • primary school might be ok for you... i wouldnt worry too much because its high school that is the true hell to teach in when things get into a unruly riot. my experiences of primary school was good and the kids are too young to cause too much issue for the teachers.

    as for being a senco the other parents should be fine with you being that as you can relate to their kids needs and issues more than a regular teacher that may be ignorant of their kids needs.

    i think youd do fine.
