Worried about future career

Hello,

I am just wondering what people think.

I am autisic and would love to become a primary school teach then a SENCO and I am on my way to becoming them. I am just wondering how parents of autistic children, parents who are autisic would feel about it to see if they would feel comfortable and more at peace as that is one of the reasons why I want to become a teacher.

    That is an interesting choice of a career for an autist.

    Do you have a very high tolerance to stress and anxiety to the point you rarely have meltdowns?

    I would imagine that looking after a group of 30 odd little monsters (autistic or otherwise) would be a serious strain on the sensory systems, never mind the challenge of trying to herd them into a productive day every day.

    I don't mean to rain on your parade, but thought it worth checking you have considered that this is likely to be way beyond most autistic peoples abilities.
