If I forget my spinners and pops when I go out I end up rubbing my finger tips into my palms (c), swaying (c), leg bouncing (c), rocking (u), and flapping (r), teeth grinding(r), etc.
(c = common, u = uncommo, r = rare)
I rub my fingers into my palms as well, I like the feel and also the dry swoosh swoosh noise. Obviously less soothing if I have sweaty palms lol.
Ooh I actually can't stand too dry a texture, I hate slime (retching noises) but I like it better than too dry stuff, I can't touch dry powders like flour, chalk, cosmetics etc without having a really extreme reaction, I've been known to physically "jump out of my skin" and run to the nearest tap to rinse it off.
I like sheer and rubbery textures for rubbing my thumbs on though. How about you?
I like the idea of making dough but every time I try I get reminded of why I don't do it
I bought a bread machine so I can have fresh bread without having to touch the dough.
Ah yeah I like fluffy soft toys, especially ones make of that acrylic extra soft fleece-like material.
I'm okay with dough though, after the water is added and the flour texture is "neutralised" I can make homemade pizza bases quite well. I think the main thing about the adverse reaction to slime hinges on whether I expect a thing to be wet or not, if I expect something to be wet it's not an issue if it is.
That's me with gooey things! I can't do pastry or dough of any kind, even cooking normally I have to wash my hands so many times. My happy textures are smooth metal and wood, and soft fluffy things, but not velvet, that makes me heave, and the thought of wet velvet is enough to make me shudder.
